Extensive feature project for the LA Times to celebrate their Festival of Books. The objective was to show a myriad of readers gathering together to discuss their favorite books while capturing the essence of the genre they're obsessed with along with the laid back atmosphere of LA. There were two accompanying pieces to the main feature article: "Why Readers Hire Me to Keep the Harmony" by Amy Silverberg, about a woman who runs book clubs for a living, and "The Audacious Act of Reading Together" by Roxane Gay, an article in favor of book clubs and the community they build.

In all, I created cover art, and two feature pieces along with custom icons for each genre of book. The cover art had to fit on the front page of the Times with space for logos and text, as a 4:5 and a 3:2 for online and social media as well.
